Guides for OP Auto Clicker

Step-by-step fixes for the problems people actually hit: first launch, hotkey clashes, fixed-point drift, and antivirus warnings.

First run on Windows

  1. Get the 4.1 EXE

    Use the download page. Confirm the file is about 1.13 MB and check the SHA256 when possible.

  2. Open the portable app

    Double-click the EXE. You should see Click Interval, Click Options, Click Repeat, and Cursor Position in one window.

  3. Set interval and click type

    Enter hours / mins / secs / milliseconds. Choose Left or another button, then Single, Double, or Triple as needed.

  4. Choose location and start

    Keep Current location, or use Pick location for fixed X/Y. Press Start (F6) or the F6 key. Press F6 again to stop.

Hotkey does nothing or fights another app

F6 is the default Start/Stop key and is meant to work in the background. Games, IDEs, and browsers sometimes claim the same key.

  1. Confirm the app is running

    If Windows Defender quarantined the EXE, F6 will never fire. Restore the verified file first.

  2. Open Hotkey setting

    Click Hotkey setting in the main window. Assign a free key such as F8 or Ctrl+F9, then confirm.

  3. Avoid common system shortcuts

    Skip F5 in browsers, F1 help, Alt+Tab, and Win combinations. Prefer F6 to F12 or a Ctrl+function key pair.

  4. Retest in the target window

    Focus the game or form, press the new hotkey, and watch whether Start/Stop toggles in the OP Auto Clicker window.

Pick location clicks the wrong spot

Fixed X/Y values go stale when a window moves, a monitor scale changes, or a dialog recenters. Users often report this after rearranging UI.

  1. Freeze the target UI

    Move the window where you want it and leave it there before picking coordinates.

  2. Select Pick location

    Choose Pick location, press the Pick location button, and click the exact pixel you need. Confirm the X and Y fields update.

  3. Re-pick after display changes

    If you change DPI scaling, docking, or multi-monitor layout, capture coordinates again.

  4. Fall back to Current location

    For targets you can keep under the cursor, Current location avoids stale pixels entirely.

Antivirus warns on the EXE

Heuristic engines flag synthetic input. That complaint shows up constantly for auto clickers, including OP Auto Clicker.

  1. Hash the file

    Compare against the SHA256 on the download checksum section.

  2. Submit to a multi-engine scanner if you want a second opinion

    Only upload builds you obtained from a trusted path. Ignore random “cracked” copies.

  3. Add a narrow exclusion

    If the hash matches and you still get a PUP-style alert, exclude that single EXE. Do not turn the entire antivirus product off.

  4. Watch for fake installers

    Unexpected setup wizards, toolbars, or browser redirects are a stronger danger signal than a heuristic warning on a 1.13 MB portable file.

Best practices

Start slow, then tighten the interval
Begin with a few hundred milliseconds so you can stop cleanly. Drop toward 100 ms or lower only after you trust the stop hotkey.
Use Random offset when steady timing looks wrong
In 4.1, a small ± ms offset softens perfectly regular click trains for tasks that dislike metronomic input.
Keep Repeat until stopped for open-ended jobs
Prefer a counted Repeat when you know the exact number of clicks you need.

Ethics reminder
